There are seven higher education institutions in Nordplus Trollnet network since 2009 from Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Lithuania. Each institution offers one or several types of degrees in the field of nursing and/or social work/ social services (bachelor, master and/or doctorate levels).
 
Trollnet collaboration aims to stress the Nordic and Baltic values and Nordic
welfare state with its' advanced social and health care system. The network aims to encourage and enable opportunities for students and teachers for short term mobility to embody core competencies and cross cultural experiences in nursing and social work education.

The main objective of the Trollnet network is to plan and coordinate mobilities and activities.

Trollnet also organize intensive courses for students and teachers, allowing a chance for international experience for students who, for various reasons cannot be away from home for a longer time.

Students and teachers mobility between network institutions is also being created and encouraged.
